After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Findlay in Ohio, I began my professional journey as a personal trainer, specializing in functional movement and kettlebell training. My passion for understanding the human body led me to further my education with a 12-month program in Neuromuscular Therapy at the renowned American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Upon graduating, I began treating patients full time and continued expanding my knowledge by attending every seminar I could. This pursuit of growth eventually led me to Dr. Erik Dalton and his Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, a discovery that reshaped my entire approach to assessing and treating patients.
Dr. Dalton’s methodology emphasized the importance of movement rather than simply “chasing the pain,” and it revolutionized the way I approached therapy. In 2019, I completed Dr. Dalton’s extensive curriculum, which included 200 hours of home study, 50 hours of in-person seminars, and hands-on shadowing with some of the leading therapists in the field. This rigorous training earned me the title of ‘Master Myoskeletal Therapist.’ In addition to this, I have completed further training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Osteopathic Articulation, Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Strain/Counterstrain, Corrective Exercise, Sports Massage, Kinesio-Taping, Dermoneuromodulation, and orthopedic and postural assessment.
My therapeutic philosophy is centered on the power of movement. I believe that every individual is capable of achieving more than they realize, but we often become trapped in patterns of movement, thought, and sensation that limit us. The Central Nervous System craves movement and novelty, and by enhancing the quality of movement and creating a sense of safety within the body, we can lower pain sensitivity, improve range of motion, boost confidence, and ultimately elevate the quality of life.
Born and raised in central Ohio, I spent 36 years of my life there before making the move to beautiful Colorado. My athletic journey began in high school and continued into college, where I competed in cross-country and track. To this day, I remain highly active, indulging in rock climbing, trail running, and still love swinging kettlebells. In 2023, I proudly completed my first ultramarathon—the Leadville Silver Rush 50-miler. Alongside my physical pursuits, I have an Australian Shepherd named Calvin, and in my spare time, I enjoy running, climbing, lifting, reading, studying, and even indulging in video games. I’m thrilled to be a part of Denver Sports Massage and eager to build meaningful relationships within this community. I look forward to connecting with the people I meet, guiding them toward better movement, and helping them achieve their fullest potential.
